Meet the Founder & CEO
My name is LaToya Brinson, and I am the founder of B.U. NFP. I have 13 years extensive experience working with nonprofits in clinical child welfare settings, including six years of management experience.
I come from a background of poverty and grew up in high-risk schools and communities. Despite facing challenges, I persevered and eventually became a social worker. I had to overcome obstacles, such as failing the third grade, but I also had some positive experiences, such as being a team mom. Through hard work and determination, I earned three college degrees and became a social worker and a scientist. At the age of twenty-six, I purchased my first home and raised my child to attend Hampton university and now in the United States Airforce to become a doctor. I am grateful for the support of my community, mentors, family, and friends, as they played an integral role in my achievements.
I created B.U. NFP to help young ladies and their parents help them overcome the same obstacles and more. I was fortunate to have the support I did to become who I am, and I want to provide the same support to other young ladies, many who have no help at or support at all.
We're not here to follow trends—we're here to build something timeless. With a blend of creativity, strategy, and heart, we help ideas come to life.
